iPhone SYNC

Now Available

 

The ability to sync the iPhone with Office-Logic data is FINALLY here... sort of. Apple has released the next version of the operating system (version 2) and it will allow you to sync some of your data.

 

You can sync the Contacts with Office-Logic using our SyncML license and a copy of one of the third party iPhone agents available through the Apple App Store. (The current one we are using is called "Funambol". Search for "funambol" and select the "Funambol (us)" application.)

 

We intend to continue to use the software from Nexthaus as we do for the Blackberry but Apple has yet to "approve" the software for distribution through the App Store Monopoly. 

 

You can run a trial of the sync by downloading the App Store program . It will need the address for your mail server, your Office-Logic username, and your Office-Logic password.

 

Apple is currently prohibiting the syncing of the calendar for ALL third party applications. They are also prohibiting the ability to automatically sync on a timed basis. We expect this to change in the future but the current Apple stance is that it will be later this year with no definite date available. Check back on the website for announcements.

As you may have noticed, if you've been waiting for Blackberry support, we've been fairly quiet about what we've been working on. 

Well, we have been deploying the solution for a while now and are making it available on a limited basis. 

If you have Blackberry devices and need to sync, or just backup your Blackberry Schedule, Contacts and To-Do Lists call our Sales Department.

Important Notices

ORDB List Service Blocking ALL Inbound E-mail

On March 26, 2008, the long dead ORDB spam identification system began returning false positives as a way to get mail servers to remove the ORDB query from their spam filters. 

 

The net effect: all inbound e-mail is blocked on mail servers still configured to use the ORDB service, which was taken out of commission in December of 2006.

 

Office-Logic InterChange has never set the ORDB option as on by default, but some of our customers have manually enabled this list. 

 

If you are not receiving any inbound e-mail, and have Office-Logic InterChange, then you will need to uncheck the relays.ordb.org DNS-Based Blocking option from the Configure - Options - Blocking menu tab on your Office-Logic InterChange server.  If you have any questions, or would like help changing this setting, then please contact Support.
